Dr. Allen is a Full Professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Dr. Allen’s research is focused on the design and development of new materials and technologies for the delivery of drugs and contrast agents in addition to synthesis of new polymer materials for nanotechnology-based drug delivery. Dr. Allen’s research has resulted in one hundred thirty peer-reviewed publications on both lipid and polymer-based drug delivery approaches. Dr. Allen has been a Professor at the University of Toronto since 2002. Dr. Allen holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from McGill University and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa.
